A sales engineer from Seattle, Washington, Eric switched from Group 7 racing in a McLaren Mk3 in 1969 to the Continental Championship’s Formula A machinery. In 1969, with two seconds and a third place finish in the national championship races at Seattle International Raceway, Haga achieved a final second place position in the Northern Pacific Division’s Class A sports/racing. In the 1970 Continental series, he drove a new Lola T-190-Chevrolet paired with Spencer Stoddard in a team sponsored by the Competition Development Division of Seattle Aero Marine.
