Former partner in the Ensign Formula One Team with Mo Nunn, Chuck began his career helping Ak Miller and "El Caballo" in the 1957 Mille Miglia. Moving to drag racing, Chuck built the very successful Sidewinder dragsters of the early 60's.
Then came the USRRC, Can Am, Formula 5000 and Indy. Chuck ran teams in all, joining forces with Jerry Eisert in Formula 5000 and later at Indianapolis.

Drivers ranging from Rick Muther, Jerry Grant, Derek Daly, Bobby Muir, Kevin Bartlett, Clay Regazzoni and many more all drove for Chuck at some point in their careers.
