Notable racer of the 50's and 60's and father of Rick Knoop; Fred pioneered California specials when he had Joe Huffaker build a Chevy powered tube frame car in 1957.  Fred went on to even more racing sy=uccesses with a variety of Ferrari's including the ex Nethercutt 412.
