| Few have as varied
and extensive background as Art. Born in Santa
Barbara, he's a veteran and holds a variety of
degrees., He represented companies like MG Mitten in
the fifties, published the "West Coast Sports Car
Journal" and was the distributor for Devin
Automobiles.
He raced an MG-TD, a
succession of Jaguars and a Devin SS. Art also
was assistant professor of photography at Orange Coast
College and worked in communications for Paramount
Studios as vice president of production. A prolific
author, he has written numerous books about
photography and motorsports.
During the eighties,
Art not only competed in vintage races but also
promoted the revived Palm Springs Road Races and other
vintage racing events. Now retired, he concentrates on
writing about the fabulous fifties for a number of
vintage automotive publications and serves as
secretary of the Fabulous Fifties Association. |
